The highway to Phnom Penh was essentially a dirt track and many, many potholes. We got to see the real Cambodia this way though. We passed through rice fields, saw little villages with houses on stilts, little old ladies bent over from carrying heavy loads on their backs and cows pulling carts of goods. Kelsey got attacked by a "flesh eating, mammoth with wings". Aka a grasshopper or cicada.

Day 22 - 16.08.15 - Siem Reap to Phnom Penh
We had booked a VIP bus with air conditioning and wifi to take us to Phnom Penh. A 6 hour drive and $7 each. It was due to arrive at 08:15, but arrived at 09:00 and did not leave until around 10:00. The bus was certainly not VIP, with dirt and disgustingness everywhere. The air conditioning was meagre and wifi was non-existent. It caused a lot of anger and upset. The saying if something sounds to good to be true, it normally is, is very apt!! Sophie has sent a message to the place we bought our tickets from, but somehow I don't think we'll get a refund!! Ah well, what can you do.
