It was yummy all the same, but not breakfast sized, so Sophie and I ordered a vegetarian full English to share as well. Shucks!! It has been 36C today and so we have spent all day cooling off in the pool and playing volleyball. So mostly today we pooled and ate. For lunch I had a Chicken Amok, which is one of Cambodia's well known dishes. It is a creamy curry served in a banana leaf bowle. Pretty cool.
Perhaps one of the most eventful things to happen this morning was Sophie slamming and trapping Kelsey's wrist inside the locker. Kelsey claims her arm needs amputating.

We decided that we would hire a boat along the Mekong River and watch the sunset. When we left the hostel, the weather was fabulous. We got to the boat and it became a bit overcast so we couldn't see the sunset, but it was still a nice cruise nevertheless.

The chicken amok looks really nice - I'm not sure I would be able to make the leaf bowl - vert clever x
ReplyDeleteSorry - I meant very clever -although the colour is "vert" I suppose!
ReplyDeleteLove the curry in the banana leaf bowl. Have to try that one. Xx
ReplyDeleteYou all look very pretty on the boat. Is there another new friend with you? I wasn't sure if the banana cake was small or just the plate was very far away, and then I scrolled down and saw your knees. Definitely midget food....but a VEGETARIAN full English? What sort of a full English doesn't come with a sausage and black pudding??! Sounds a bit bohemian to me, must be mixing with all those travellers!! Love you xxx
