Day 9 - 03.08.15 - "we only make friends with people that can't understand us"

We moved rooms this morning as we had booked a three bed private room. It is very nice.

It has rained in Phuket nearly all day, so we have spent the day recuperating from all our travelling and playing card games. We attempted to make friends with some of the other people staying in the hostel but think we scared them off as they ignored us for the rest of the day! 

We went out for breakfast at a little cafe down the road and got very wet doing so!

 Kelsey had a stir fried curry and Sophie and I had 'deep fried bread dipped egg'. Turned out to be eggy bread and a vanilla custard sauce and very very nice. Accompanied with hot coco, it was delicious. It was £1.60! 

The girls made best friends with the resident cat. I hate the cat. 

Eventually, when the rain did stop at about 6 O'clock, we took a stroll around Phuket Town to a park called Saphan Hin, with a small beach. 

We then wandered back to our hostel but stopped for some dinner at a tiny restaurant. We had a stir fry which was very yummy and the lady who served us asked if she could have a picture with us! We now feel like celebrities! 

We happened upon a market and bought ourselves some Asia pants!

We are planning on going to the beach tomorrow so hopefully it'll be sunny, positive thinking!! Hoping to leave by 9 and have breakfast on the beach which will be very nice.
